CAPABILITIES
Thermoforming
Thermoforming, our core business offering, is a plastic moulding technique which includes both vacuum forming and pressure forming.
During the manufacturing process, plastic sheets are heated until they are a pliable temperature, and then formed over the uniquely designed mould to create components and products for use.
Our capabilities include single-sheet forming and twin-sheet forming of single- and multi-cavity tools, and our state-of-the-art machines can thermoform at an extremely high capacity – forming multiple tools at once.
We have used thermoforming as an engineered plastic solution to create products based on our own designs as well as client needs and requests. These include:
- Durable drop-in bed liners for pick-up trucks or bakkies (and various other automotive accessories)
- Portable toilets
- Sanitizing stations
- Hydroponic and aquaponic components
- Interior panelling for railway and metro trains
- Dunnage
This adaptable method of plastic moulding can be used for low-volume as well as high-volume applications, which can make it a cost-effective choice.
Depending on the kind of product or tool you require, we will assign our recommended route between thermoforming (vacuum forming or pressure forming), injection moulding and integral skin polyurethane foam moulding.
